A GODLY HERITAGE Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their
children. and let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work
of our hands establish thou it. Psalm 90: 16 & 17
I enjoy reading through the Bible, every year and this year I am reading it chronologically and as I was reading through
Leviticus, my reading plan sent me to Psalm 90. I was studying the passage, when I came across the verses above, in
them they speak of a work of our hands, a Godly heritage to leave to our children. I have battled for a long time with an empty
place in my heart for children. My sister, Julie, says "Take my boys, you'll be glad you don't have any!"
She is kidding of course, (I hope), but there is always that hole, a longing for a child of our own.
Then I looked at the scriptures again they say "Let thy work appear unto thy servants and thy glory unto their children..."
It was then a lightning bolt struck my heart, I know that the passage is a prayer for the Lord to appear to His servants and
the glory to their children, but it was a flash of a commission of sorts to me. "Let your work be to His
servants and thy glory unto their children." I was looking at the passage with new eyes. My heritage
is not just the physical family that I have on this earth, but the most important children I could have are those that I share,
my Heavenly Father, with. You are probably thinking, she should know that, but sometimes we forget and get off the track.
My heart wants, it needs, a heritage of children and I believe that is why The Lord
has overwhelmed Richard and I with His consuming desire to reach the "Fatherless" children of this world.
From the moment we we are awake until the instant we sleep we pray asking for wisdom and creativity to be able to present
the Gospel in such a way that it is a clear picture of the love of Christ. We pray that every thing we do will bring
lives to the Cross, not lead them away.
The last part of the passage says "Let the beauty of the Lord, our God be upon us and establish thou the work of our
hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands, establish, thou it." It is our prayer as we begin our new ministry
year, that the Lord will establish the work of His hands on ours and that we will see our "Spiritual Heritage" grow. You are all "spiritual parents" with us, as you share with your prayers, the donations
you have given us, the encouraging words and notes and as we start out, we are praying for a "double portion" of
events and opportunities to reach those "orphan children" with the Good News of God's love!

We want to thank all of you for your prayers for our ministry! We want to thank the Sunday
School Classes that have partnered with us to donate and purchase the physical items, for this ministry, "The Barnabas
Class of 1st Baptist Moss Bluff, Moss Bluff, LA and the Bro. Bob Ensminigers Class at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church,
DeRidder, LA. It has helped us to be able to minister on a "faith-basis". We are able to serve in churches
and ministries that are not in positions to support an evangelistic event. Also, to those who have privately given items
and finances to help us a little further down the road! We are truly blessed and you have a part in the salvation of
those we are able to reach! Thanks! Richard & Jackie

A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle,
he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd. While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar.
So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle. As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from
laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit. When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was
being the Ring Bear." A Sunday School
teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in
church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping." A ten-year old, under the tutelage of her grandmother, was becoming quite knowledgeable
about the Bible. Then, one day, she floored her grandmother by asking, "Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus ? The virgin
Mary or the King James Virgin ?" RICHARD
